Building Mathematical Connections and Relationships that Promote School Readiness

Participants will: Young children transitioning to Kindergarten will have to understand the relationships between multiple mathematical concepts in order to solve operations, fractions, equations, and other problems. This means that preschool children have to be provided with learning experiences that go beyond math activities in isolation. They need to experience play, project and problem-based learning experiences that provide the platforms children need to engage with multiple math concepts. This webinar will present some strategies to support teachers as they plan for incorporating powerful math experiences that help build children’s mathematical connections and relationships within the classroom.
