Professional Learning

In order to provide high quality learning experiences for young children, the Early Childhood workforce needs to be engaged in ongoing professional learning. Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) offers free workshops, webinars, and resources on the following Early Childhood topics: Administration & Leadership, Assessment, Curriculum, Diverse Learners, Family & Community Engagement, Language Arts/Literacy, Professional Knowledge, Social/Emotional Development, STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). All Workshops and webinars support the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.

Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) is a state-approved professional development provider authorized to issue professional development credit to Illinois licensed educators for license renewal purposes. All workshops and webinars are also Gateways Registry approved. Online Administrator Academies on Early Childhood topics are offered in collaboration with the Illinois Principals Association. Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) aligns its work with the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning, which have been adopted by the Illinois State Board of Education.
