NAEYC’s New DAP + Playful Learning Develops STEM and More

STEM competences upon kindergarten entry predict later academic success…even entry to college. Intentional, playful activities based on development can propel young children’s learning, including social and executive function skills. We will discuss NAEYC’s DAP (4thed.) new content chapter, focusing on STEM development, teaching practices, and resources. See and take away tools that help build our understanding of children’s thinking and how to support it equitably.
