All workshops/webinars offered through the Illinois State Board of Education, Division of Early Childhood in partnership with Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL), are free.
Registration Policies and Procedures
Participants may register online at eclearningil.org. Since we provide professional development credit for attendance at workshops and webinars, we require each participant register herself/himself for each event. It is necessary to complete all information fields during the registration process. Please include an email address that you frequently check so that we may contact you in case of an emergency or a last minute change. All information collected in the registration process is confidential and not shared.
All are welcome to register, however priority is given to individuals working for state funded Preschool for All (PFA) and Preschool Expansion programs. Registration is limited for each workshop/webinar. Walk-in and telephone registrations are not accepted. An email confirmation must be received in order to attend the workshop/webinar. Email confirmations will be received automatically after registering for the workshop/webinar. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you do not receive an email confirmation.
Gateways to Opportunity Registry
We are a Gateways Registry Authorized Entity. If you are a Gateways Registry Member, all Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) workshops and webinars you attend will be tracked in the Registry database. You can access your Professional Development Record (PDR) online through the Gateways website. Gateways approved trainings also meet the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) licensing requirements. The following training levels are based on the Gateways to Opportunity Registry System:
Level 1: Introductory/Awareness; Level 2: Intermediate/Application;
and Level 3: Advanced/Mastery. Membership in the Gateways Registry is free.
Online Administrator Academies
In partnership with the Illinois Principals Association, we offer free online Administrator Academies on current early childhood topics. Administrator Academy credit is available to those who attend the webinar and complete the assignments. Space is limited. View information and registration details.
Workshops/Webinars Provider Cancellations
Workshops/webinars may be cancelled by Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) due to low enrollment. We will notify you immediately by email and/or telephone should a workshop or webinar be cancelled due to low enrollment or an instructor emergency. You can also visit our website for last minute updates. We will attempt to reschedule the workshop/webinar pending the instructor's availability.
You may cancel your participation at any time, but please provide at least a 24-hour notice so that we may notify someone on the waiting list. Because of the popularity of these workshops/webinars, registrants who neglect to cancel will be given a lower priority for registration at future workshops/webinars.
Evidence of Completion
Full and active participation for the entire workshop or webinar is necessary in order to receive the Evidence of Completion form. After the workshop or webinar, participants will be sent an evaluation form in an email. Upon completion of the evaluation form, participants will be directed to an electronic copy of the Evidence of Completion form. This form verifies participation in the professional development activity and must be maintained for a period of six (6) years by the licensee.
