At Home
If you have 3 minutes
- Talk to your child about what it means to be safe at home. Talk about how your child can be safe in different parts of the home. For example - In the kitchen point out items that are hot. On the stairs, we walk and hold the railing.
- Before an activity briefly remind your child of safe behavior, or how to use a tool or item correctly and safely.
On the Go
If you have 3 minutes
- "Catch" your child being safe and tell them you notice.
- Have your child wear a helmet when riding a bike or scooter.
- Talk to your child about being safe in the car- like sitting in a car seat and why we wear seat belts.
